Review of Gone Baby Gone (2007) by Wes S — 28 Sep 2011
When 4 year old Amanda McCready goes missing, Private Detectives Patrick Kenzie (Casey Affleck) and Angie Gennaro (Michelle Monaghan) are hired by the young girls family when the high profile case turns up with no leads. But as they get deeper into the investigation they find out that not everything is as it seems.
Very well made and thought provoking film co-written and directed by Ben Affleck with a great cast, awesome performances, and a solid story with plenty of twists. Not as impressive as some of Clint Eastwood's most recent films, but certainly in the same league This is a very solid film where morality and ethics are painted in shades of grey, this story definitely forces you to examine just what is right and wrong. And do our laws help or hinder us when ethical choices come into play?
