Another good suspense movie about a kidnapped girl. A private investigator, Patrick Kenzie is approached by the girls aunt's to take the case because of his connections with the underworld. As he digs deeper he uncovers police corruption and eventually finds the girl at a retired police captains home (Jack Doyle), played by Morgan Freeman. Jack pleads with Patrick Kenzie to leave the girl with him rather than have her returned to her natural mother, McCready, who happens to be a bit of a coke head. Patricks girlfriend also begs him to leave the girl with Jack, but Patrick decides against this and gives him up to the police. Has Patrick Kenzie done the right thing!
The film finishers with the girls mum leaving her daughter on her own while going on date.
