Five years ago, if someone would have told me that Ben Affleck was going to direct a film that stars his little brother and that it would be one of the years top ten films, I would have called him a liar, beat him down, and thrown his body in the Mississippi for wasting my time.
Thankfully that didn't happen because after seeing this, I would have been in a tough spot for killing someone over a good movie. Great story, great acting (Amy Ryan was good, but not the Best Supporting Actress this year), and a great twist at the end that would make M Night Shyamalan sweat.
Just don't be fooled by the middle of the film that looks like an ending.
