That kind of seem like a movie that an actor jumps the shark on their spotlight with. The acting was at times ridiculous and over the top. The story has some interesting elements to it, but they dropped the ball on any interesting idea and ruined all the steam from that train.
Everything was to movie-esque and predictable and that is the last thing that should happen in a suspense film. The ending just seemed rushed and not well thought out at all, no twists just a straightforward 5 minutes of everything is fine now.
It was essentially a message that if you act crazy the cops will do nothing but believe you are crazy.
