Surprisingly OK. Coming over as a little obsessed the main character sets off in pursuit of her sister when she believes she's been kidnapped by her own kidnapper from the year before. The police only offer her advice on calming down, not overreacting and revisiting the asylum for some 'support'.
They refuse to believe she might be right. Fair enough. She has to do it all herself. And she does. Following leads Scooby doo or Morse would find obvious she shows up the police's refusal to help as reckless.
It ends as you'd expect.
