Earnest Italian crime drama, that may appeal to fans of City of God and The Wire, though it lacks the panache of the former, or the Shakespearean grandeur of the latter. (I know, I know. I guess Iâ??m just in that kind of mood.
) Well made and undoubtedly sincere, but thereâ??s no touch of the universal to counter the alienating bleakness.
