Review of Gomorrah (2008) by Richard F — 26 Dec 2009
Disjointed and overblown. It tries to tie together so many characters and events that the focus is completely lost and the film lacks any central emotional pinpoint to hold on to. The more interesting stories are constantly lost in the muddled documentary-styled depiction of gangster life and ultimately it's just too much out of too little.
A documentary is a documentary, film is film, and the two should not mix for a reason.
