Goldfinger is an incredible threequel and my personal favourite, maybe the best of all the Connery Bond films,.

Bond battles gold magnate Auric Goldfinger (Gert Fröbe), who plans to irradiate the gold supply of Fort Knox, making it worthless and increasing the value of his own supply.

The plot is a work of share genius, its got so many themes that are just as intriguing as the villains plot like the seduction and the power of gold, greed and how it can become a weapon that can destroy people who go to far in their quest for it. It is also (as I said at the start of my review) my favourite of the 007 films to star Sean Connery, along with From Russia with Love. From Russia with Love works better as a clever, beautifully written, ingenious spy thriller, whereas Goldfinger is more of a fun, action packed adventure movie.

Next I'm going to talk about the villain Goldfinger, he is just one of the best villains, he more flamboyant and just plain downright insane and his obesseion with gold makes hum so much more interesting and fun.

Director Guy Hamilton does a great job in following the footsteps of Terence Young and finds also finds a good balance of keeping up the action and humor of the film. The cinematography is brilliant, the score is magnificent, the editing is teriffic, Ken Adams production design is breathtaking, the sound effects are exquisite, the costumes are the action scenes are brutal and well choreographed, Bob Simmons stunt work is incredible, John Stears' effects are staggering, the girls are all hot, there are some brilliant one-liners, there are some great iconic images in this films, I love the title song Shirley Bassey, and we get the famous Aston Martin DB5 that features some many outrageous weapons including, machines guns, smoke screen, oil slick, revolving licence plates, tire slashers and last of all-but not least, the ejector seat.

The acting is brilliant, Sean Connery delivers another great performance as 007, Honor Blackman as his leading lady Pussy Galore is the best Bond girl, Harold Sakata as Goldfinger's henchman Oddjob is a brilliant henchman, Cec Linder is strong as Felix Leiter and Goldfinger is (as I said earlier) is a superb villain.

Goldfinger in my opinion is the perfect Bond film, I actually have a nostalgic affection for it as I it was the first James Bond film I saw. It extreamly quotable, full of memorable scenes and characters and is a load of fun.
