Review of Goldfinger (1964) by Cindy C — 28 Dec 2010
"Dr. No" and "From Russia with Love" were very good but in my opinion and perhaps many others will agree, Goldfinger is a masterpiece. It is a superbly exciting, filmed spectacle that came from the early part of the 1960's.
Sean Connery does a fine job in his role, with an outstanding supporting cast, especially Honor Blackman and Gert Frobe. The cinematography is superb, while the special effects are first rate. The thrills and an assortment of twists are absolutely endless and entertaining and the score, along with the memorable title theme, are beautiful.
As many have said, it may be the best of the Bond films.
