Review of Goldfinger (1964) by Donnie D — 18 May 2011
I was impressed by the forward movement of this series as far as action, special effects & the ORIGINAL "JAMES BOND MOBILE" (Aston Martin DB5) BUT...i grew tired of the reappearance of the villain.
I just wanted it to be OVER finally when the first hour was done in the movie. I give it 4 Stars because of the 'dragging on' feeling I got from watching it. In this third installment in the 007 series -- which racked up an Oscar for its sound effects -- he didn't have very many love interests or sex scenes.
..but he did have 2 encounters with the woman who was more famous for her NAME in this movie than anything; Pussy Galore (actress Honor Blackman), the archvillain's sexy henchwoman. I was however disappointed that neither sex scene was nude.
..they always cut away before she stripped down to nothing. This is nothing like the 2 PREVIOUS Bond Films.
