Review of GoldenEye (1995) by Ilsa W — 05 Aug 2013
Pierce Brosnan's first and best Bond film as far as I'm concerned. Loved sinister Sean Bean with his clipped British accent, loved Famke Janssen, who looks like she's having a fabulous time, loved the splendid Judi Dench, loved Robbie Coltrane's little role and the tank chase through the city is one of the best Bond moments of all time.
Add to that an great supporting cast and you have a pretty decent Bond outing. It was all down hill for the Bond series after this movie until the franchise was revived with Casino Royale. This had just enough gadgets and effects to be entertaining but not ridiculous.
... Invisible car anyone?
