Review of GoldenEye (1995) by Alec B — 12 Sep 2010

I think it succeeds in transitioning Bong out of the Cold War, and I like that in doing so it openly confronts the fact that it was over and things have seriously changed for Bond as a character. Its just as enormously entertaining as the early Sean Connery Bond films and Pierce Brosnan had the makings of a great James Bond.

Its just too bad for him that after this film the series took a serious nose dive and he just wasn't given anything as good as this again.
