Review of GoldenEye (1995) by Daniel C — 31 Mar 2011
The first of the Brosnan Bond films, I'm sure when this came out in '95 after quite a few years from the previous installment that this film was highly anticipated and well received.
16 years on, it's still a good Bond film, a better story than the later Moore offerings and Goldeneye is a standout for it's soundtrack by Eric Serra as well. Some of the special effects are looking dated but that too would be expected.
The story is good enough, with quite a few twists and stories unfolding at once but it all comes together with the one-liners, the funny names and everything else that a Bond film needs. However, how a girl like Onatopp is actually able to kill anyone with those thighs is beyond me, but nevermind!
