Review of GoldenEye (1995) by Kevin L — 25 Jul 2011

I was too young to see this when it first came out but if I had watched it then I imagine I would have been just as satisfied as I did when watching Casino Royale for the first time. An old Bond becomes suddenly relevant again with a new face and a line (Sorry, forgot to knock) to a Russian soldier in a restroom.

The rest is a wonderful ride through post Communist Russia to save the world from Russia's antiquated Communist weaponry. The acting is what it needed to be, the characters are memorable while being more developed than other Bond outings and the action is top notch for a low budget movie.
