Review of GoldenEye (1995) by Roshan C — 03 Dec 2011
After the lackluster License to Kill which saw Timothy Dalton's thankfully last outing as Bond, Pierec Brosnan's era kicks off with this slow, long and plotting thriller that can't help being ultimately uninvolving.
Brosnan for one is much better than Dalton in the role. However the idea that he is the closest interpretation of the character to Ian Fleming's novel may work on looks, but Brosnan doesn't fit the role.
He's wimpish and stiff, not charming and charismatic. Also the muddled jumbled-up plot doesn't help. The result is a middling product that far from hits the target.
