Review of GoldenEye (1995) by Daniel Y — 11 Dec 2012
This film rescued the Bond franchise from the depths that Timothy Dalton had taken it to in 1989. Despite a fine turn by Pierce Brosnan (who brought a much needed cool to Bond), this is still a pretty standard 007 film.
It has the usual catchy phrases, gorgeous women, exotic cars & locales that you would expect from 007. However, upon further viewings, as a film it leaves much to be desired (especially when compared to Casino Royale).
