Review of GoldenEye (1995) by Connor _ — 24 Feb 2010
Pierce Brosnan and Judi Dench make their series debuts in this top-notch Bond film. Sean Bean gives a great performance as the ex-MI6 traitor. Famke Janssen gives a great performance as an insane assassin.
Joe Don baker returns to the Bond series, playing a new CIA character. But the concept, besides Bond going against his former ally, is unoriginal. Bean is the umpteenth villain to try to take over the world using a satellite.
But the writing is still very good and the cinematography is the best of its time. 8.4/10.
