Review of GoldenEye (1995) by Ken S — 25 Nov 2012

Pierce Brosnan took over as 007, and he surpassed Timothy Dalton and Roger Moore. Brosnan brings a cool looseness that hadn't been seen since Sean Connery's efforts in the early 60s. Director Martin Campbell weaves an entertaining narrative with exciting, action set pieces, gadgetry, and beautiful women.

Famke Janssen bursts through the screen as Xenia Onatopp, the perfect femme fatale while Izabella Scorupco offers a more gentler woman as Natalya Simonova. The script is solid along with the music. Sean Bean gives a nice turn as the villain, Alec Trevelyan.
