Review of Goldeneye (1989) by Mark N — 19 Jul 2012
An explosive return to form and the first to get me back in the cinema since Octopussy. The serious plot and tone worked this time after the constant misfires of the Daulton era (not his fault in my opinion).
The action is breathtaking, the sexiness is back and Bond ticks every box he need to. My one issue is the title which needlessly puts me in mind of a malevolent duck spitting laser death from the skies.
