I had always wanted to see this movie and I was not disappointed at all. The story is old, the acting was not the greatest. So why did I like it? Well it had the great Ginger Rogers and Joan Blondell. The story is about three actresses looking to cast in a show.

It's the depression and jobs are scarce and theater backers were far and few between. Enter Dick Powell, rich guy trying to live his life as a songwriter. Well Dick gets the job as songwriter and he also gets Ruby Keeler.

Dick's wealthy family will have none of this show business relationship nonsense to tarnish their name. Great comedic moments and great costumes. Joan Blondell gets the 11 o'clock number and really sells it.

Great Busby Berkley numbers as well. It was a great movie to just sit and watch. I recommend it highly. Ginger Rogers gets to sing "We're in the Money" in Pig Latin at the beginning. Good stuff here!
