"It is one deliriously pole-axed masterpiece that haunts the memories of all those lucky enough to have seen it." Can't really say it better myself. Saw it really late on TCM and it felt like one of those movies, as a kid you, shouldn't watch cause it was on so late and it's subject matter wasn't exactly appropriate, but you do anyway and you end up being hypnotized by it.
Tarantino used alot of references to it in Kill Bill.
