Review of Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film (2006) by Dustin P — 07 Feb 2009
A pretty decent documentary. I like the exploration of the controversy of horror films, in addition to the telling of behind-the-scenes stories. Whoever chose the way this was shot was kind of dumb. They shot the interviews behind statues & headstones, filmed people walking while they talked, and panning around someone in a circle while they talked.
The camera was rather unsteady at times as well. Not that it was a big deal, but it was a bit annoying, nonsensical, and unnecessary.
