Review of Going My Way (1944) by William M — 18 Sep 2007
I usually don't go for these sappy cheesy movies, but the music makes this one worth the journey, and by golly it was just swell. At first I thought the film was going to be a hardcore Chrisitian propoganda film (considering the time it came out) but it really doesn't have much to do about faith in God as it does about faith in ourselves and each other.
The film is definitely dated but still very enjoyable. I believe I liked the film so much due to all the music training I had as a child and it brought back fond memories of those times for me. It's definitely a good film, considering the sentimental cheese factor.
