Review of Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief (2015) by Larry C — 16 Apr 2015
A powerful, coherent film that weaves together the facts we know about Scientology and the running list of accusations against it, including forcing families apart, mentally and physically torturing its members, harassing its enemies and manufacturing girlfriends for Tom Cruise.
Deeply distressing but morbidly fascinating at the same time. One thing is clear - this cult is a ruthless, unconscionable corporate monster, and that it's allowed to be tax-exempt and operational is an affront to human society -- at least those who did not come from frozen alien bodies thrown into volcanoes so they can eventually repossess humans.
