Goemon is Japan's answer to Robin Hood.
Goemon was a legendary 16th century ninja warrior and bandit who stole valuables and gave them to the poor. However unlike the latest Robin Hood film, Goemon is actually really good.
Director Kazuaki Kiriya has chosen to use comic book-esque stylings to really set this film apart from others. It is simply breathtaking. The cast are all solid, as is this cinematography and tone of the film. The scenery simply needs to be seen to believed it is scintillating.
Goemon is a film for anyone who enjoys their blockbuster's a little differently.
