Review of Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973) by Kyle W — 07 Aug 2007

Godzilla vs His All-Time Low! Widely panned by just about everybody, this movie features the return of Gigan and the debut (and finale) of the giant bug-roach-beetle-drill-thing called Megalon. It's a strange mixture of the widely popular Japanese hero shows of the time and the widespread destruction of Godzilla, with more tendency towards the hero shows.

There's even a requisite annoying child-mary-sue character, whose irritating dubbed voice pierced the eardrums of many frustrated viewers. It's definitely a must-see for B-movie fans, especially for Godzilla's phsyics-defying martial arts maneuvers.
