This movie knows what it is, a monster brawl for the ages, and it delivers, big time. Although the human stars can be rather glossed over in depth and characterization, the two main stars, Godzilla and Kong, are an absolute joy to watch on screen.

The movie understands it's own outlandish plot and over the top sequences, and embraces it, knowing exactly what audiences have paid to see. If you're looking for deeper meanings and themes, stray away from Godzilla vs Kong, because all you'll be getting are stunningly animated and breathtakingly awesome giant monster fights.
