As is with the rest of the Monsterverse movies, this particular one completely hit home with what I was expecting. We discovered things that previous movies had teased such as the hollow earth (a call back from No.
2 when Godzilla was effectively revived) and had a definitive answer as to who the King really is. Kong resides inside the core and Godzilla remains king of the monsters! Also, let's not forget zilla's laugh during the fight.
