Review of Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971) by Garreth H — 25 Jun 2007

Of the old movie series, this one easily has the most on screen deaths of human beings. Hedorah is the most murderous monster Godzilla ever fights. The film itself is very different from almost any Godzilla movie. It features a nearly nonexistant human plot (the plot is literally nothing more than the discovery of the new monster) and scenes are often sandwiched between strange animated segments or 60's style singing and dancing. Godzilla also behaves quite strange in this movie, seeming much more twitchy than usual.

Overall a decent Godzilla film but definitely not what I would consider an entry level film for would be Godzilla fans.
