Review of Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971) by Alex T — 29 Mar 2008
One of my all time favorite Godzilla films as the social and political commentary of the 70's is brought to the Godzilla franchise as not only does war become a raging issue, but so does the current influx of pollution that is starting to take more affect on the Earth and it's people.
Soon, a shapeshifting monster made up entirely of pollution is spawned and it's up to Godzilla to stop it, or die trying. Definitely one of the more darker Godzilla films with some great characterizations and some pretty sweet and different battles, seeing as though the monster takes some various forms.
Excellent movie.
