Review of Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971) by Haven — 11 Oct 2008
The hippie Godzilla. This is my favorite of the post-Gojira/Godzilla: King of the Monsters movies. It isn't a good film, and it suffers from the same thing that all Godzilla movies have...endless fighting at the end that never is quite as cool as you hoped it would be (Godzilla flies!) It does doe some original stuff with cartoon animation that makes it a little unique.
I remember watching this when it was Godzilla Vs. the Smog-Monster. Unfortunately with the Godzilla Vs. Hedorah packaging you don't get the cool "Save the World" psychedelic song.
