Review of Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971) by David Z — 10 Sep 2010
The 11th movie and it's a terrible one, the movie itself doesn't know what it want to be. At times it an art noir, then it's psychedelic, then it's a kids movie, and then it's environmental, it constantly changes.
The only redeeming factor is the monster Godzilla fights, Hedorah. Hedorah is a hazardous sludge monster created by pollution, anything he slimes instantly rots. The fight between the monsters gets very messy and it's fun watching a pile of shit getting dump to Godzilla.
Just add Godzilla flying(No Joke) at the end of the movie and you got the weirdest Godzilla movie ever made. Not recommended, unless you're on drugs.
