Review of Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) by Duckhost — 01 Jun 2019

My only problem with this movie is that the characters motives are just so mundane and cliche, Farmiga's character and so Charles Dance does nothing interesting or something that you haven't seen in movies before, the reason for the MUTOs is not that interesting. As in Godzilla 2014, the whole human aspect of the movie is bland and not interesting but when it comes to the action, that is where this movie takes a turn for the best. The entire third act of this movie is just the most insane and explosive action that I have seen in a while and it makes this movie worth it, I have to disclaim that this is the first Godzilla movie I was really interested and invested in, 2014 on I saw one-time and never saw it again, they do a good job in investing the first time viewer like me.

The soundtrack of this movie is amazing, there are sometimes when they shout ''GOJIRA'' and it flows so well. King of the monsters is a great movie if you know what you are expecting, don't expect stellar screenwriting and good character motives but if you want to see Godzilla kicking ass this is the movie for you.
