Review of Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) by Michaelriendeau — 13 Jun 2019
A fantastic Godzilla movie, way better than its 2014 predecessor, with much more Godzilla, loads of kaiju action, and an actual cast of likable and interesting human characters. Bringing back the big four classic monsters from Toho, this movie brings Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan and the evil Ghidorah to their full potential while staying true to their classic lore.
The only downside is that you don't see as much Mothra and Rodan as you the other two monsters fighting for the fate of the world and there is one ugh scene where Godzilla and Ghidorah charge at each other, only to cut away to the monarch ship watching them fight from a distance.
Aside from that, with a tremendous music score, I highly recommend anyone who loves the Godzilla movies or have an interest in the franchise to check this one out.
