Review of Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) by Arglebargle82 — 30 May 2019
A little more human story than expected based on the critics reviews. I expected at least 60-70% screen time from the Kaiju, but you take what you can get really. Overall a well done effort that only suffered from an overabundance of human cast, that could have been accomplished with about half, and in half the time making more time for the Kaiju.
I don't know if they're going to go any further than Kong on this, but I wouldn't mind seeing that post credits plot expanded more. Also my favorite Kaiju of all time Gigan needs some screen love in this style, here's hoping it does well enough for Legendary and WB to cut Toho a large enough check to make it happen.
