Review of Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) by Antikaratekid — 30 May 2019

This is the giant monster movie audiences were waiting for. Critics liked 2014 version better for the “human drama” while audiences fell asleep as Godzilla barely appeared in his own movie. In this movie that’s reversed.

Monsters are the focus and their fights are spectacular and given abundant attention while human characters serve to advance the monster story vice versa. This is how a real giant monster movie should be, no matter how much “critics” disagree.

The monster also stands taller than comparable movies like Pacific Rim and has much for visceral, intense and spectacular fights. All in all, this is THE giant monster movie.
