If you want to collect classicly bad movies, this one should be one near the top. while the nice special effects for the time did a good job distracting the audience that the monster we should be afraid of is actually a guy in a rubber suit, it didn't completely prevent them from realizing that it was just a guy in a rubber suit.
if you've never seen godzilla, I should attack you. to avoid being attacked, give this movie a watch.
