Review of Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956) by Joseph N — 13 Sep 2010
This is my all time favorite as a kid, I watched this and the original king kong everyday of my life XD. its story is very fantastical and symbolic of the atomic bombing and that Godzilla as sort of a representation of what destruction mankind is capable of doing on its own.
its a little more emotionally traumatizing then the original Japanese version, which was set on as a solid horror film but that still doesn't down the movie and shape or form. this movie is always going to have a special place in my heart.
