I honestly don't understand why people require a sophisticated human story arc in a Godzilla film. Went to see it tonight with mrs and we both had a blast. If you're in for an epic monster showtime you won't be disappointed.
The pace is good and I actually felt kind of a monster tension thoughout the film.
