Review of Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956) by Dan D — 20 Feb 2009
The kid in me loves this entire series but the original is a classic in it's own right portraying the horror and devastation of an attack by a creature created by mankind's tampering with atomic power.
Godzilla is a powerful metaphor for Hiroshima and it's horrible after effects. The most serious of the series and the birth of a legendary film character.
