Review of Godzilla (2014) by Dpads — 18 May 2014
Dear Godzilla,.
I really wanted to like you, like, like you like you, but I'm not so sure anymore. We had a good time though! I might have almost fallen asleep in the middle, but I was pretty tired from studying for finals. Still, the last third of was SO awesome and fun that it almost made up for it. Almost. See, the problem is, I can't shake the feeling that you weren't... yourself the whole time. You were pleasant, and enthusiastic, and easy to follow, but the whole time I thought you were just hiding the whole story. You made sure to tell me you were sensitive, and caring, and had your heart in the right place, and that you have some of these crazy experiences in your life! But they're not that crazy so you might not want to hear about all of them but to trust you, because they're crazy. I don't care about how crazy these stories are, I care about the stories themselves, and how they affected you. But you insisted on moving on, and that was ok, and it was just ok. But when the whole thing was over, I felt like I'd seen all there was to see, but clearly that's not the case. Is it? If we ever do this again, which we should, I know you really want to, just be yourself. Don't hide what you think I might think is weird, stop telling me about things to impress me and just tell me things, and stop pretending to know what I care about so I can get a chance to know and care about you. Again, I did have fun, and I like you, but I don't see this really working out right away. Take a little while, figure out what you want, and maybe we can give this another chance.
