Review of Godzilla (2014) by Surfnow3 — 24 May 2014

I went and saw this movie yesterday in an IMAX theater, 3D. I have to say the 3D was horrendous. Regarding the movie, the idea behind the plot was great, however the story jumped around alot and the EOD specialist (son of the father) had no real purpose in the movie whatsoever.

All he did was set the boat out into the ocean away from land. He would have died had he not passed out. I have to disagree with some posters regarding Godzillas onscreen time. It wasn't enough. I am not concerned with previous movies, as this is not a previous movie.

With CGI this movie was done way to much in the dark with Godzilla fighting, with very little seen from him. They kept cutting away which was really annoying. I have to say at times I was fairly bored.

There are elements I enjoyed however the movie as a whole was mediocre at best.
