Review of Godzilla (2014) by Biotofu — 20 May 2014
The had some promising potential early on but then it eventually turned into a ridiculous joke. The editing was poor and some of the plots were simply too stupid even for a monster movie... The director and writers did not seem to respect Godzilla enough to have cared enough about the details.
From Bryan Cranston, Aaron Johnson, to Godzilla itself, every character was forgettable. Some more so, such as Ken Watanabe (hired him mostly so he can say its name "Godzilla" with a close up shot) and Sally Hawkins (hired her mostly so someone can introduce Ken Watanabe to the others "this is Dr. Ichiro Serizawa")...
