Review of Godzilla (2014) by Megasolipsist — 05 Aug 2014
The cinematic equivalent of watching paint dry. The great actors were squandered with wooden dialogue and nothing to do. Godzilla was constantly promised but never revealed until long after I stopped caring.
But despite all of it's flaws, this movie could have been entertaining had it remembered how silly the premise of a radioactive, fire-breathing dinosaur is. Instead, it tried to make itself serious and Oscar-worthy, and ended up collapsing under the weight of its own pomposity.
