Review of Godzilla (2014) by Magicmanraw — 29 Jun 2014
Classic monster movie in a modern age. It is ok. Just ok. Way, way better than the last Godzilla, but still was very weak. The story put up is ok. The concept that is. I really hate it when the main character just happens to always be in the right or wrong place at the right or wrong moment.
It is forced. In a big wide world, it just happens that this one guy is always near where the monsters are and he come sup with answers. Boring. I am talking about Aaron Johnson. Very boring and bland character.
The story should have been better. I just did not buy the whole "world order" thing. The real 'bad guy" should have been the backstory. I would have lived with it if they spent 10 mins to touch upon the next movie and this was just a set up for the next film.
