Review of Godzilla (2014) by Louie S — 25 Jan 2015
I'm gonna go right ahead and SPOIL the movie. It's an alright movie, but there's just one or two things wrong that really prevented this thing from flying. For instance, killing off Cranston's character may give the hero some sort of push or motivation to do something heroic, but it doesn't work here.
With so little development of their characters, we've no reason to care what happens to Aaron Taylor Johnson or his wife and child. Next, when you have a monster movie, just show the damn monsters fighting and stop cutting away to news reports in the background somewhere.
It was funny the first time, but not so much the sixth time.
