Review of Godzilla (2014) by Chuck W — 30 Jan 2016
Gareth Edwards keeps Godzilla as a force to be reckoned with, while adding eerily artistic scenes and stunning special effects. Sadly most of the human characters disappoint. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is expressionless throughout the movie, and though Bryan Cranston plays his part very well, he gets very little screen time. Fortunately most of the last forty five minutes of the movie is spent focused on the monsters.
Overall, though the plot and human characters are lacking, Godzilla is a thrilling movie and definitely worth seeing.
