Review of Godzilla 2000: Millennium (1999) by Tristan D — 27 Nov 2009
Godzilla's underrated first adventure of the new millenium. It is very much a throwback to the 1960s mentality with no continuity being established with other G-Films and an alien invasion as the story's focal point.
It also benefits from a very serious tone. The effects vary from impressive to adequate and the American version (dubbing aside) improves the soundtrack significantly. However the Japanese version plays up the apocolyptic millenium idea a lot better.
