Review of Godzilla 2000: Millennium (1999) by Enrique F — 29 Aug 2017
While it's light years ahead of the incredibly awful 1998 Godzilla, this wasn't the best way to start off a new continuity of kaiju movies. It isn't terrible, but nothing is truly special about it.
Godzilla fights a fairly forgettable alien threat, with colorless and bland human characters populating the background. It's competently made and maintains a fairly serious tone, so it gets points for that.
Overall, this is a middle of the road entry for the series.
