Review of Godzilla (1998) by Squall C — 30 Aug 2011

In my opinion one of the heavily underrated disaster/action films of the last twenty years. There is so much charm and delight here, fun dialogue, lovable characters, action, SFX and brilliant creature design, it's a shame they don't make more films like this these days.

Of course if you're looking for any kind of realism, you're at the wrong place, and perhaps you need that special "don't take it seriously" blend of tea to appreciate this and other disaster movies, often critiqued for their larger than life ridicule, but damn is it a good ride.
